I am currently watching the Emmy's and aside from checking out everyone's dresses and Jimmy Fallon portraying Elton John, it's pretty much the most boring thing I have ever seen.
Who are these people? I haven't heard of half of them, I guess that's because I don't watch any of these shows. If it isn't Desperate Housewives, Real Housewives or The Hills, I don't watch it.
I slept in again today and man was it AWESOME.....I didn't know I was capable of sleeping that late. I also got a text from a friend in DC about 11PM last night saying he was engaged and then another text about 11AM from a girlfriend letting me know she was engaged.
Upon hearing that news I immediately went to my living room and turned on
"Say Yes to the Dress" and grabbed a pint of Blue Bell Southern Blackberry Cobbler ice cream. I'm totally kidding about the ice cream (wish I did have some)--not joking about watching
Say Yes to the Dress marathon.
Apparently getting married is the thing to do at the moment, I made it through 4 weddings 4 weekends in a row this summer and 4 of my friends have text me in the past month to let me know they are engaged. Also-- 2 of my friends are now having babies?
WHAT...... When did we become grown ups?
My parents/grandparents still treat me like I am in Pre-K. God forbid I go anywhere alone-especially at night and I have been told many times
"you should always travel in using the buddy system."
Okay okay I am being a bit dramatic but really I cannot believe my friends are getting married and having babies? Baffling..... Don't see that happening for me ANY TIME IN THE NEAR FUTURE and I am okay with that.
I cleaned my house today whoop whoop, got lots of laundry done and caught up on the
Real Housewives of DC episode I missed while I was out Thursday night. Then when I finally had enough of being inside I went to run the bridge. I was pretty proud of myself for running halfway (it's a 3 mile bridge) and probably would've run farther but these twice replaced ACL's couldn't take all the pavement pounding.
Yes that's the actual bridge I was running
No I did not take this photo
I wanted to take pictures when I was running, it was so pretty outside- almost sunset, sailboats in the water, sweet little Mom's pushing their kids in strollers. Very picturesque! About 2 months before I graduated from college I was in Ocean Springs--actually it was Easter Sunday and I remember telling the guy I was with "I would never move to the Coast--especially not Ocean Springs, there is nothing here." ............My My how things change in just a few months!
I love this little town and I live on the most adorable street on the planet.
Can you get dressed up cute in your sundress and flats and walk a block to
fabulous restaurants, bars, boutiques and gift shops?
Probably not and if you can then good for you because
I CAN TOO!
Extreme bored-ness is starting to set in, I am ready for work tomorrow. I have a ton of stuff to do and while it's been nice being lazy I would rather be out doing something.
(doing something equals making money honey)
Good night guys and happy almost work week!
