Tanning Salon Tuesday

Well here I am again..... sitting on the couch watching The Office.  I just got back from being reprimanded at the tanning salon (again.)  One day.....one day I'm gonna lose my cool with these girls.  As soon as I walk in conversation as follows:

"You spray tanning"
 Me: "Yeah"
"You spray tan like everyday"
Me: "Sweetie I haven't been here since last Thursday"
"Oh I guess it's just because I always see you"

--Yeah you always see me here, you work here and I tan here.  We don't know one another so....yeah this is the only place you see me...... I hope there are cameras in the hallway so she can see the faces I make and the eye rolls directed at her.

I got a new bombdotcom computer screen at work today, it's really massive and it's connected to my laptop so...whatever that's not the best part.  The best part is, the wallpaper is black so when I click out of my email, spreadsheet, etc. it doubles as a mirror!  Thus, saving me time walking to the bathroom and teasing my hair.  Instead of having to get up from my desk 5 times ish a day I can simply click out of what I'm doing, pull out my teasing comb (the new girl in the office bought me a SUPER teasing comb) and make sure my hair is perfection.  It is really coming in handy seeing as I just got these new bangs and I'm not quite use to fixing them.

I also ate really healthy today.....hello skinny!  And spent quite a while coaching one of my girlfriends through talking to a new guy.  Now.  I wish there was someone who excited me this much--for some reason there is not one person who totally makes me lose my cool and call all my girlfriends to ask "what do I say back?"  At one time sure I freaked out about a new guy too but now........don't care.

Ladies, why are you stressing out about what your text message says?  Who cares?
Do you know how many guys are out there?  I'll tell you....... A LOT, a whole lot.  How do you get them to like you?  I will tell you the answer to that too.........You don't like them.

Now......since I'm finished preaching

I sent my Mom an email today and included several pictures from some of my recent ventures and she responded with this:
"Very cute--except fatty.  Who is she?  Your bangs are really cute, should I get bangs--I need a change"
Like my Mom managed to compliment me and insult someone all in the same sentence.  I laughed so loud--and shed a few tears...........from the laughter.  So offensive and does.not.care.

Gah I'm just watching Pam on The Office and man does she dress bad.  I'm laughing aloud as I type this, who created this show?  I love them.  Ladies--another word of advice DO NOT be that girl that wears khakis and a white button up to work.  That is so boring and Dress Barn, also do not try to make your hair curly by using gel.  Gel does not make your hair curly--it makes your hair look crunchy and seaweed ish and that is not cute.

I should turn this blog into a what not to wear type thing or a how to?
Examples:
How to dress cute for work
                   How to lose weight fast
                   How to be fabulous

I mean I feel like I know enough about these issues to write a post or two on them.  I will consider that for tomorrow's topic.

Today I also wrote my doll friend Jerr a letter as she is away right now training to....be....in the Navy (oorrr something?  I'm not exactly sure how to word that?  Training to be in the Navy?)
Anyway I miss her terribly!  We've been friends since...forever, when we were 3 our Mom's took us trick-or-treating together.  ( I was a ballerina, Jerr was a cowboy--how fitting?)

And....she knows how much I like to take pictures and she always messes them up....  but I don't care, I still love her.

I hope you all have a fabulous evening and I apologize if my Mom offended you.

Fall and Football Y'all!

Home from Starkville baby!!
I looooove visiting Tone, not because she's one of my best friends forever but because we always have such a ridiculously FUN time.

So I left for Starkville Friday, Hanni rode with me and we stopped to shop on the way.  I blew a hole in my bank account--but I totally don't feel bad (because I looked really cute)  ooohhh also-- I got bangs......see below (or above)
I liked my bangs Friday but then Saturday I decided I didn't want them so..... swoop it was
(see below)
Anyway, lots of fun-- realized how extremely tan I was when I looked at these pictures, I looove a tan!  Whoop Whoop, I need to get hair extensions.  Heather get on that for me doll I want some. like soon.

Last week before I left the office I ran out for some errands and came back to this precious wrapped gift, I was so freaking excited because I LOOOOVE a surprise.... and I am never surprised.  I'm not one of those girls that lands the awesome guy that sends flowers to the office-- just hasn't happened for me yet.
My sweet boss left a little note with the gift, I read it then tore into the packaging to find this:
How gorgeous is that?  Everyone in my office knows I am currently obsessed with pottery because we have some amazing artists on the Coast.  So my angel boss said I needed "a new piece for my new condo."

Love it!! This is the most random post I've done yet.  We've jumped from my weekend in North MS to pottery I received as a gift last week?  Random scatter brain....

I'm soooooooooooo happy I get to sleep in again tomorrow, yesssss my favorite thing in the world.  Plans for tomorrow include:
1. Sleep really late                        2. Have a cup of coffee
3. Fold clothes                              4. Put up folded clothes
5. Workout                                    6. Lay around

I hope you all have a fabulously lazy Labor Day, call me if you want to meet for an apple martini, I have some cute new dresses I need to wear!  Just kidding, don't call me--I'll be laying out by the pool.
Cheers!

Thriving Thursday!

Well....hello....I know you've missed my positively enlightening words of wisdom the past couple days.  Just kidding, I know there are about 3 people who read this blog (don't care) it's fun talking about myself.

So.....yesterday.  Let me just tell you.  I was in one of those moods, like a really bad mood, for no reason?  If you know me, you know this is not pleasant and it doesn't go away even if you do something nice for me.  If I decide to be in a bad mood then it's there for the entire day.  Sorry for those of you who have to come in contact with me.

It all started when this idiot at work wouldn't leave me alone.  Sir, you are older than my father--if you don't know how to do your job then why are you here.  Actually let me ask you, what exactly is your job?  Sticking your nose in everyones business?  Because you are EXCELLENT at that.  I'm getting worked up just picturing his face.

Anyway cut to-- lunch.  Cute guy in the office and I went to eat sushi- it was fab but then... I got a ticket. UGH--- I will refrain from foul language on this blog but seriously 44 in a 35?  I can run faster than that.  Get over yourself you fat cop-- go eat a doughnut and leave me alone.  On a side note-- I got another ticket 4th of July weekend (when do you get your license taken away? because I'm pretty sure I'm on the verge)

And last but certainly not least.  To the guy that worked my nerves yesterday--  I do not like you.  Yes, I asked you to run some errands in town for me last week (and you did) but that wasn't because I had a crush on you.  It's because I was getting ready for a dinner party and looked too fabulous to be running all over town in heels.  So-- you made me mad last night and you are getting the silent treatment for the rest of your life.  Stop calling my phone, stop texting me, thanks.

Today was super busy at the office.....I like being busy at work.  And...... I had to ride in the car with a gentleman I didn't know (to a meeting) for like half an hour; he talked about his wife and how she was an amazing baker, yada, yada, it was really sweet-- I thought "Awww I want a husband like that"

AND THEN.  This song. came on the radio.  Like right at the moment I had that thought (about a husband)..... it was called "I'll pray for you" (I think) and at first I thought it was a sweet song but it isn't, it's funny actually.  If you haven't heard it you should google it.  It made me think of my ex boyfriend (I only have a couple so you can pick which one you think I'm referring to)  Whatever..........funny, I guess?

I went to the gym and SOUTHERN MISS was playing on ESPN, I was totally the girl running on the treadmill yelling "OMG I know that guy" "Hey look there's my friend" I'm sure everyone was rolling their eyes behind my back.  Sorry!  I'm an old washed up alum now, college football makes me feel young again.  Just kidding I'm totally not washed up or old, I am an alum though.

Speaking of college football I'm going to visit one of my very best friends in the whole entire world tomorrow

and....we're tailgating Saturday WHOOP WHOOP!!!!  Thank God some of my friends are still in school so it's acceptable to tailgate/act our age.

Can I get a high five for Labor Day on Monday? Day off work yessss!  What is Labor Day even for?  I shouldn't ask, it's probably disrespectful or rude or makes me look stupid not knowing.  Really though I don't know what Labor Day is.........

I've really got to start packing, crap and I just realized I left wet clothes in the washer like 3 hours ago.  I'm off.......to pack, put clothes in the dryer and oh yeah I forgot to mention I think....I should move to GEORGETOWN.  Yeah I've never been there so maybe I'll visit soon and see if I like it?

Enjoy Labor Day and let me know if you figure out what we're celebrating, I'd be happy to buy you an apple martini

REAL HOUSEWIVES REUNION

AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG
I am literally screaming as I type.  I. am.so.excited.

It's time for the Real Housewives New Jersey Reunion!!!  I have been in a good mood all day because of this..........

So I did my usual workout and spray tan after work.....the girl at the tanning salon told me I was going to turn green if I kept spray tanning twice a week.........(and she was serious?)
Honey let me tell you something, spray tanning twice a week is nothing compared to other things I could be doing twice a week.  I am 22, I can handle myself.

Thank You and I will see you in a few days!

Oh shhiiiii....another preview for the reunion just came on.  I really don't think you understand how excited I am, it's unnatural.  When I walked in from spray tanning I shut the door and screamed and jumped up and down because the show was starting in 20 minutes.

Also you should know.....I didn't eat very much lunch at all because I ate these:
I ate a mini one of this kind........

and a BIG one of this kind.............and then I felt sick

Man I LOOOVE cupcakes, if you ever want to get on my good side--send me cupcakes!

Okay it's coming on.....HAVE TO GO!

The Emmy's are boring

I am currently watching the Emmy's and aside from checking out everyone's dresses and Jimmy Fallon portraying Elton John, it's pretty much the most boring thing I have ever seen.

Who are these people?  I haven't heard of half of them, I guess that's because I don't watch any of these shows.  If it isn't Desperate Housewives, Real Housewives or The Hills, I don't watch it.

I slept in again today and man was it AWESOME.....I didn't know I was capable of sleeping that late.  I also got a text from a friend in DC about 11PM last night saying he was engaged and then another text about 11AM from a girlfriend letting me know she was engaged.

Upon hearing that news I immediately went to my living room and turned on
"Say Yes to the Dress" and grabbed a pint of Blue Bell Southern Blackberry Cobbler ice cream.  I'm totally kidding about the ice cream (wish I did have some)--not joking about watching
Say Yes to the Dress marathon.

Apparently getting married is the thing to do at the moment, I made it through 4 weddings 4 weekends in a row this summer and 4 of my friends have text me in the past month to let me know they are engaged.  Also-- 2 of my friends are now having babies?
WHAT......  When did we become grown ups?

My parents/grandparents still treat me like I am in Pre-K.  God forbid I go anywhere alone-especially at night and I have been told many times
"you should always travel in using the buddy system."

Okay okay I am being a bit dramatic but really I cannot believe my friends are getting married and having babies?  Baffling.....  Don't see that happening for me ANY TIME IN THE NEAR FUTURE and I am okay with that.

I cleaned my house today whoop whoop, got lots of laundry done and caught up on the
Real Housewives of DC episode I missed while I was out Thursday night.  Then when I finally had enough of being inside I went to run the bridge.    I was pretty proud of myself for running halfway (it's a 3 mile bridge) and probably would've run farther but these twice replaced ACL's couldn't take all the pavement pounding.
Yes that's the actual bridge I was running
No I did not take this photo

I wanted to take pictures when I was running, it was so pretty outside- almost sunset, sailboats in the water, sweet little Mom's pushing their kids in strollers.  Very picturesque!  About 2 months before I graduated from college I was in Ocean Springs--actually it was Easter Sunday and I remember telling the guy I was with "I would never move to the Coast--especially not Ocean Springs, there is nothing here."  ............My My how things change in just a few months!
I love this little town and I live on the most adorable street on the planet.
Can you get dressed up cute in your sundress and flats and walk a block to
fabulous restaurants, bars, boutiques and gift shops?
Probably not and if you can then good for you because
 I CAN TOO!

Extreme bored-ness is starting to set in, I am ready for work tomorrow.  I have a ton of stuff to do and while it's been nice being lazy I would rather be out doing something.
(doing something equals making money honey)

Good night guys and happy almost work week!

Sweet Saturdays.........

Ooohhhhh I love a rainy day and even better a rainy day with nothing to do........

I slept SO late, laid around and listened to it rain then met this lovely lady for lunch
We chatted and had yummy salads (and maybe a brownie) and it reminded me of college-- and how much I miss it!

The past 48 hours have been insanely busy.  Thursday was non stop, we had a huge dinner at Ruth's Chris and then Friday we had another dinner at the Great Southern Club.  Here are a few pics from Thursday's outing:

I ate that entire cheesecake, well there was like one bite left.....and the guy next to me tried one bite so technically I didn't eat the whole.entire.thing.
--Notice the paper roses on the table, we managed to have a "paper rose making class" at dinner

So...we had a good time but I decided to stay in this weekend and relax!  Plus it's flooding outside, what better to do then stay inside on my couch reading the single girls bible:

My favorite article was: YOU JUST BROKE UP--NOW WHAT?

For the record, I did not just get "broken up with" but the article was pretty funny (and spot on)
It talked about Facebook stalking, posting TMI and tons of pictures of you and your new "friend boy," all the things girls do when their boyfriends break up with them.
Except me of course, I never "Facebook stalk"......
Right..... don't act like you haven't spent a little too much time sifting through old pictures.  Anyway, the article was hysterical and tried to make all the single ladies feel better about acting crazy after a break up.  THANKS COSMO!  Love you.

At the moment I'm laying on my couch watching a Lifetime Movie, that's right occasionally us self proclaimed fabulous, single, cosmo girls watch Lifetime Movie Network.  I am also seriously considering ordering a cheese pizza and some cinnamon sticks?  Good idea?  I think so.  Since I work out at a 24/7 gym I can workout after dinner......good plan. Yessss, I just got really excited after I pretend asked for your opinion and felt like you agreed with me.  I mean when is pizza ever a bad idea?

I'm off to call Papa John's, I'll diet later (and probably be mad at myself for eating pizza).....
