Sunday Update

Game Day in Oxford....
....I decided I like the color blue, it photographs well--

We went to the game then shopped on the square, went to dinner and out for drinks.....
.......after dinner Faye laughed at me for putting on so much lip gloss.  FAB-U-LOUS

Then....we danced

And after a quick trip to Taco Bell we called it a night and went home.
*Yes, the $1 flatbread sandwich/taco thing they came up with is amazing

Some other good things that have/are happening:
1. Toni made us a funfetti cake with sprinkle icing and it's amazing
2, I am getting better at working my Sex and the City phone
3. We're having sushi for dinner
4.  I have two dinner dates lined up, in two different cities, the night I get back to town.... meaning I will:
    A. Cancel one
    B. Schedule one at 5 and one at 8
    C. Cancel both and get a spray tan
Knowing myself (and I do, well) I will opt for the spray tan.

Aunt T's BDay is in 48 hours....start the countdown

Hey Rach....it's OK!

My dear friend Rachel had such a cute post today...... click the link below to read her
 Hey it's OK ....
She is so charming and creative.

http://racheldillard.blogspot.com/2010/09/hey-its-ok.html

The following are my favorite's from her post....and the rest.....they're my Hey it's OK's!
...to secretly wish your ex still has a thing for you
...to already be counting down to Christmas as if Santa was actually real--
...to wish you had champagne while you're drinking your OJ with breakfast
...to already have all 4 of your future children's names picked out but no husband, and even worse, no prospects

Hey, it's OK...

.....to turn down a date because "you already have plans" (a scheduled spray tan)

.....to eat 3 doughnuts for breakfast and sneak into the break room for another-- maybe they just  don't fill you up

.....to go to the gym just to see that hot guy

.....to buy completely ridiculous, expensive stuff just because you want it

.....to eat out twice in one day (another reason to go to the gym, possibly)

.....to have a crush on someone one day and be totally grossed out by them the next

.....to straighten up your house because the exterminators are coming, always like to make a good impression....

.....to eat 3- 90 calorie bars for dinner

.....to call your Dad and brag about yourself--Daddy's appreciate it

.....to feel you are completely undeserving of everything you have been given

It's a new day and my joy is renewed
--you said it Rach, God is good!

NEWS in the land of the single ladies

Well first off it's 10:15PM and I am already in bed on a Thursday night listening to Sinatra.....need I remind you I'm 22!  I should be out flirting with cute boys and wearing a sassy dress--instead I left the office, had my nails refilled/painted, worked out, shopped at Target and spray tanned.  When I got home I had to pack for the adventure I will be on the next few days.   Tell you about that in a minute.

Current happenings in my life:
1.  I got a new phone today.  My Blackberry was being bad this morning so I decided it was time to upgrade....  I got this touch screen new high tech gadget Cell South has come out with--pink cover as well.  I thought I would be cute and Sex and the City with a touch screen, too bad I can't work it.   Needless to say if you need me, call me.  It takes me 10 minutes to reply "yes" and "no."  I am also sad no more bbm, I loved sending that face that was doing the "talk to the hand," motion.    Favorite.

2.  I still like peanut butter.  Since my announcement a few days ago (that I now like peanut butter)  I have been eating it on EVERYTHING.  So weird I was disgusted by it last week and I'm obsessed now, mmm! Bring on the peanut  butter!

3.  My nails are a dark grayish pewtery color--and I'm pumped!  With fall we welcome dark nail polish--so sassy!  If your nails are coral, time for a polish change doll.

4.  I had lunch at Mary Mahoney's today with one of my FAB Rolex wearing (gay) guy friends.....when we were walking out, our conversation went something like this:
Friend:  "I can't be bringing you to lunch--everybody's gonna think you're my wife."
Me: "Uuhhhh I know....don't bring sand to the beach"
Friend: "Or a sandwich to the buffet...."

I guess in this instance I was the sand and the sandwich......?

5.  I am ALL PACKED AND READY TO GO!  I will be gone the next 5 days on a grand road trip!
Oxford all weekend for the Ole Miss/Vandy game and......then........... Birmingham......for
KINGS OF LEON Monday (yesssss)  I'm so excited.  I've been listening to them on repeat.  Nonstop.  And being the mature adult I am I have even gone so far as to arrange for a house sitter, or should I say condo sitter?  So. Adult-ish of me.

6. Florence and the Machine- Dog Days are Over is the bomb.

7. Aunt Tammy's birthday is Tuesday, she'll be 35  29! I love you!

I'm confused

Sorry I haven't bestowed any words of wisdom on you people in a couple days...I had such the busy weekend.  (I'm being sarcastic) I did have a fun weekend though..............

So Friday night I worked out, spray tanned, caught up on laundry, all that stuff that makes you feel like you're on top of things.  I woke up Saturday ready for GAME DAY festivities!  I had a cup of coffee out of my fabulous Sheerwater Pottery mug (mockingbird handle--I'm obsessed) then took off to the gym --as I was meeting Anna at 1PM promptly to head to Hattiesburg.  We got to Hattiesburg and I raced to The Abbey, God forbid I make a trip to Hattiesburg and not go by there.  Anyway of course I found a ton of fabulous stuff...ended up settling on this little number for the game!

So cute!  And I had to get some other stuff for...the trips I'll be taking over the next couple weeks.  I feel like when I am going somewhere I HAVE TO HAVE a new outfit.   It's sad, I know... but I just don't feel as cute if I am in a dress that has been worn 3 times--it's old news by that point and I don't want to be old news.

    Anyway after watching the game.......
--which was a new concept to me (because in college I.....never really...made it...to..the games) we went to dinner at my favorite, Mahogany.  It was fab as usual.  Good friends, good food, good apple martinis...... (that should be my life motto--add good clothes in there too please)
Oh and my baby sister stopped by to say hey......

That's that.  My weekend was quite exciting, getting to see all my sweet friends.... I plan on having a repeat this weekend in Oxford
Alright to explain today's post title here we go....
Things that confused me today:

1. Why you could hang meat in my office.
Like okay I get that we live in South MS but is there a reason for the temperature to be set on 69.3 the entire day?  The front desk girl is the one who always turns it down so I literally would look around to make sure she left the room then go turn it up so it would get incredibly hot and stuffy.  At one point I had to go outside with my Smoothie King because I was afraid my bones were going to break due to the frigid temperature.  Then, I made some hot tea and held it with both hands like hot chocolate at a bonfire in the winter.  I know, I'm dramatic about things (occasionally) but seriously it was freezing.
She (front desk girl) finally yelled "TRINITY, are you touching the AC?"

2. Why people text before 8AM.
Like, I am trying to tease my hair, spray it, curl it, put lip gloss on, spray perfume, change shoes, iron my clothes, re-tease my hair, change clothes again, find my keys, why would you text someone and get in the middle of that?  And especially about going to dinner?!  I have 10,000 things to do before I get to dinner tonight and no, I am not going to dinner I have a spray tan scheduled.
**SIDE NOTE:  I really don't mind texts before 8AM if it's someone I want to talk to

That's pretty much it, I have the answers to everything else.  Just kidding, I have the answers to nothing but I pretend otherwise.

Oohhhhh and one other exciting thing:  I decided I liked peanut butter today! I feel like a normal person!  So there are a few things that I will not eat and peanut butter is one of them but I tried some today and I like it now?  Yay!  I can eat PB&J sandwiches now!

I'm headed to the gym to work off the peanut butter, happy Monday

Thursday is Game Day!

What I should be doing right now instead of blogging is finding a dentist here in town.
That's right, yours truly has a toothache.  I know disgusting right?  I promise I brush two/three times daily and floss every night.  I thought it would go away but... it's not and it's starting to hurt worse.  It hurts so bad, in fact, I broke down and called my mother and I don't call my Mom unless I'm in dire straights.

I tried asking the ladies in the office for recommendations but they shot back really quickly “Trinity, we know what you want…..a young single dentist.”

You know ladies, for once you are wrong. I don’t want a young, single one…. I just want a dentist, period. Yeah…..I’m in that much pain. Lucky for me tonight I have a date with Brad. This toothache is nothing an Apple Martini (or two or three……ish) won’t fix.

My friend Amy called today and said they had Saints cupcakes at Frosting (which is one of my favorite little cupcake shops) for all you bandwagon Saints fans. Yeah girls I’m talking to you—you who had no idea who the Saints were before they won the Superbowl. I’m not pretending I care, yes, I will go to a game this season but only because I want to rock a Brees jersey with some leggings and black UGGS and a ton of gold jewelry/make up and take lots of pictures………………. I’m just being honest

So for lunch I had a 40 oz. smoothie from Smoothie King. FORTY FREAKING OUNCES, that cup was the size of my body and I felt completely disgusting afterwards but I had them “make it skinny,” so it was only 306 calories! Yay! Lets all pretend that was a healthy lunch so I don’t feel bad about skipping the gym today.

I am super pumped about this weekend, SMTTT! S-O-U-T-H-E-R-N Southern Mississippi USM! We are going to the game Saturday and then having dinner at Mahogany, my favorite spot in Hattiesburg! People often ask me why I’m so obsessed with Mahogany, does it matter? I just like it. Probably because it reminds me of college—Every. Single. Thursday night me and my girlfriends would get dressed up and go have dinner and drinks. It was our night out during the week and it was SUCH a big deal. Like you didn’t even think about going unless you had a new outfit/tons of make up and fabulous hair………because that just may have been THE Thursday that you met your Doctor/Dentist/Lawyer husband……..so you needed to look Fabulous if we were going to “The Hog.”

Oh…..good times good times……

Today one of my co workers printed a picture of another coworker and brought it to me—he thought it would be funny if we framed it and put it on my desk? Then waited for the guy to walk by and see his picture framed and sitting by my computer screen?

So, yes I have a framed picture of one of my coworkers on my desk…..I’m really anxious to see what everyone who isn’t in on the joke has to say. I can hear it now….. "Trinity are you seeing _________?"  "Trinity when did you two start hanging out?"  "Trinity, you've kept that quiet."

At least ___________ will be thrilled!  A framed picture on my desk, what an honor.

Well Bradley Daniel is about to be here....we're walking to have sushi (b.y.o.b.) and then walking across to The Office for an apple martini and the game!  Awesome!  Cheers you guys!

What I like about you Wednesday!

I have SO many cute friends, today's post is dedicated to them!
It's the first addition of What I like about YOU Wednesday

1. Olivia, who also happens to be my sister (lucky girl!) She is so calm and quiet and everything I'm not. Take me and send me 180 degrees in the opposite direction and that's Olivia. I love this girl more than anything on the entire earth.

2. Toni, I am Tone's stylist and I'm pretty sure we could accomplish ANYTHING together.  Like seriously anything-- don't get on her bad side or mine because you will deal with both of our bad attitudes.  We're pretty much the same person

3. Holly, I love Holly's style--she's habitually late for everything but I promise she will show up looking cute.  We could stay on the phone for hours, she WILL be my next door neighbor when we're grown-up Moms living in a subdivision.

4. Bethany, we've been best friends who talk about boys non stop since 6th grade.  This is another one that always shows up looking adorable and we pretty much have the same taste--in everything.

5. Jerrica, my wild card.  Like seriously I have a group of girlfriends and we've been labeled "MEAN GIRLS," since high school--we even had people dress up as us once.  But, Jerr is SO not mean--she's hysterically funny and has such a good heart.

6. Jess, such an old soul with an amazing voice.  She will defintely be the first from the group to get married.  She is absolutely beautiful, inside and out (like seriously)

And just in case you didn't believe me here we are in high school WAY back in '05 dressed up as MEAN GIRLS for Spirit Week.

Okay moving on........
I knew I shouldn't have started this, I have too many adorable people to name

7. Aunt Tammy, so yeah technically she is my Aunt but she is also one of my Best Friends, I mean like honestly the coolest lady you will ever meet.  She goes out with me and my friends and can totally hang.  She also lets me make bad decisions and never questions me!

8. Hannah and Heather, I know they aren't they same person but they pretty much come as as package deal and I love them both equally.  Hanni is ridiculously laid back and has such a dry sense of humor-I'm obsessed and Heather makes me laugh daily, like she makes every situation humerous and has a really funny Nana

9. Faye, this is the most creative/smart chick.
She's super tech savvy and extremely good at writing (wfayew.blogspot.com)
She also loves boys (and road trips) as much as I do.
10. Natalie, my forever Marble Slab buddy.  We have been on so many adventures (in Canebrake) together and we host a Christmas Cocktail party together every year!

11. Brad, so let me say this, Bradley and I are related and I like to tell everyone.  It's tough being young and working in the corporate world but we both do it--and very well.  He has been my support since moving to a new town.  And we have a dinner date tomorrow night!

12. Chelsea, this is my shopping buddy.  She loves good food and clothes just as much as I do.  She's also really nice---like makes me feel bad for being rude sometimes.

13. Anna, one of my college roomies!  We have had many a good nights and many a "OMG my boyfriend just dumped me nights."  She is so level headed and will always be a dear friend.
14. Aaron, this guy is just as awesome as I am; We love to talk about things (people) and Aaron takes the same approach to weight loss as I do.  He is hysterically funny and WILL be the next Jim Cantore, mark my word.
15. Last but certainly not least, Joseph, this guy managed to put up with me for like 2 ish years.  That's right, we dated in college, like a long time ago when I had blond hair, and we're still  good friends.   He also took me to have my wisdom teeth out and bought me ice cream.
Now that I am sure I have managed to offend many of my other friends, I'm finished.  I have SO many fabulous girlfriends that I go to lunch with every week, I could never possibly name them all.  I'm going on like this is an
Academy Award

Cheers friends

Tanning Salon Tuesday

Well here I am again..... sitting on the couch watching The Office.  I just got back from being reprimanded at the tanning salon (again.)  One day.....one day I'm gonna lose my cool with these girls.  As soon as I walk in conversation as follows:

"You spray tanning"
 Me: "Yeah"
"You spray tan like everyday"
Me: "Sweetie I haven't been here since last Thursday"
"Oh I guess it's just because I always see you"

--Yeah you always see me here, you work here and I tan here.  We don't know one another so....yeah this is the only place you see me...... I hope there are cameras in the hallway so she can see the faces I make and the eye rolls directed at her.

I got a new bombdotcom computer screen at work today, it's really massive and it's connected to my laptop so...whatever that's not the best part.  The best part is, the wallpaper is black so when I click out of my email, spreadsheet, etc. it doubles as a mirror!  Thus, saving me time walking to the bathroom and teasing my hair.  Instead of having to get up from my desk 5 times ish a day I can simply click out of what I'm doing, pull out my teasing comb (the new girl in the office bought me a SUPER teasing comb) and make sure my hair is perfection.  It is really coming in handy seeing as I just got these new bangs and I'm not quite use to fixing them.

I also ate really healthy today.....hello skinny!  And spent quite a while coaching one of my girlfriends through talking to a new guy.  Now.  I wish there was someone who excited me this much--for some reason there is not one person who totally makes me lose my cool and call all my girlfriends to ask "what do I say back?"  At one time sure I freaked out about a new guy too but now........don't care.

Ladies, why are you stressing out about what your text message says?  Who cares?
Do you know how many guys are out there?  I'll tell you....... A LOT, a whole lot.  How do you get them to like you?  I will tell you the answer to that too.........You don't like them.

Now......since I'm finished preaching

I sent my Mom an email today and included several pictures from some of my recent ventures and she responded with this:
"Very cute--except fatty.  Who is she?  Your bangs are really cute, should I get bangs--I need a change"
Like my Mom managed to compliment me and insult someone all in the same sentence.  I laughed so loud--and shed a few tears...........from the laughter.  So offensive and does.not.care.

Gah I'm just watching Pam on The Office and man does she dress bad.  I'm laughing aloud as I type this, who created this show?  I love them.  Ladies--another word of advice DO NOT be that girl that wears khakis and a white button up to work.  That is so boring and Dress Barn, also do not try to make your hair curly by using gel.  Gel does not make your hair curly--it makes your hair look crunchy and seaweed ish and that is not cute.

I should turn this blog into a what not to wear type thing or a how to?
Examples:
How to dress cute for work
                   How to lose weight fast
                   How to be fabulous

I mean I feel like I know enough about these issues to write a post or two on them.  I will consider that for tomorrow's topic.

Today I also wrote my doll friend Jerr a letter as she is away right now training to....be....in the Navy (oorrr something?  I'm not exactly sure how to word that?  Training to be in the Navy?)
Anyway I miss her terribly!  We've been friends since...forever, when we were 3 our Mom's took us trick-or-treating together.  ( I was a ballerina, Jerr was a cowboy--how fitting?)

And....she knows how much I like to take pictures and she always messes them up....  but I don't care, I still love her.

I hope you all have a fabulous evening and I apologize if my Mom offended you.
